Heart Valve Voice will be attending Issue and answers 2019 conference in Nottingham to discuss the importance of community detection and primary health care professionals.
Issues and Answers Conference 2019
Issues and Answers conference 2019 brings together healthcare professionals from the primary care sector, and promoting discussion of how primary care approaches the care of heart valve disease patients. Heart Valve Voice will have a booth, full of information for primary care professionals, and also host discussions about valve disease in the UK. We will be joined by our trustee Dr Chris Arden, who is the editor-in-chief of the primary care cardiovascular journal and the chair of issues and Answers.
One of the main aims of Heart Valve Voice is increasing the awareness of the symptoms of heart valve disease in the general public. With events like street doctor, check ups at sporting events and many more activities has increased awareness of heart valve disease. Yet due to the nature of the symptoms, patients are still being diagnosed with the Flu, Asthma or Lung problems rather simply checking the heart with a stethoscope check at the GPs.
During our stay at Issues and Answers this year, you can come to our booth to discuss the importance of community detection and the role of primary care as well as the pharmacy to increase the diagnosis of heart valve disease in the elderly. Read Wil’s blog to find more about the role of community detection and primary healthcare professionals or access our helpful resources for primary care here.
