Heart Valve Voice is attending EACTS 33rd annual meeting in Lisbon this year and we are bringing along patient advocate Pat Khan to discuss with clinicians the importance of the patients’ voice during their treatment.
EACTS conference 2019
This is the fourth year that Heart Valve Voice is attending the EACTS annual meeting. EACTS is the largest cardio-thoracic meeting in the world which focuses on the scientific development and research in cardio-thoracic surgery including heart valve disease. Thousands of clinicians across the world will be attending the conference in Lisbon. Pat Khan will be joining Heart Valve Voice to interview clinicians for her blog over the next two days of conference.
The blog will explore the relationship between clinicians and their heart valve disease patients’ choices in their treatment. Pat will be talking to clinicians across the two days about the differences in access to treatments in the UK and how this informs patients’ choices. As well as, the benefits of having treatment options for patients on the pathway and access to new innovations. The first blog will be released below:
