On the 15-17 May the Heart Valve Voice cycle team participated in an epic journey from Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital in London to the EuroPCR conference in Paris. The team, made up of clinicians, patient representatives and our patient ambassador Pat Khan cycled over 200 miles to raise awareness of heart valve disease. It was an amazing adventure and we all can't wait to do it again next year.

With the help of clinicians and patients from across the UK and in honour of the European Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day, Heart Valve Voice will be presenting the results from the most recent 2017 Heart Valve Disease Survey on local radio stations.

With the success of last years cycle ride, the team from Heart Valve Voice embarked on their second awareness raising cycle ride one year later. Team members cycled from London to Paris to help raise awareness of heart valve disease and the need for improved diagnosis and access to treatment. The cycle team was be made up of HVV Chief Executive Wil Woan and 13 clinicians and patients. The journey began in London on 21 May and finished with a ride up to the stage at the EuroPCR Conference in Paris on 23 May.

On the 29 March, Heart Valve Voice will help to host the UK’s first Valvular Heart Disease - Patient Engagement Day to be held at Edgbaston Park Hotel, University of Birmingham. The patient day is being held in partnership with Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the British Society of Echocardiography, the British Heart Foundation and the British Heart Valve Society.

Following in the tradition of previous Heart Valve Voice Check Up events, the team at Heart Valve Voice will be hosting their 2017 check up event at the Emirates Old Trafford during England Cricket's England vs South Africa Test from the 4-8 August.
