After almost a year in the making, the winners of the The Patient Portraits: A New You Photography Competition have been announced.

​I am pleased to announce the appointment of our newest trustee to the Heart Valve Voice Trustee Board. Susan Alderton, Senior Chief Clinical Physiologist and Echocardiography Lead from Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospital Trust brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of echocardiography and with heart valve disease patients.

The very first European Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day was celebrated across Europe on the 8th September. We held our UK event at the London ExCel Centre as part of the lead up to PCR London Valves, world's largest educational meeting dedicated to the field of valvular heart disease.

​Ahead of the first ever European Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day the European partner organisations involved will be presenting their European Heart Valve Disease Partnership Manifesto outlining the the core calls to action of the initiative.

Today CEO Wil Woan has been visiting the Heart Centre at Royal Stoke University Hospital to meet with the Cardiac Team. He also presented at the monthly cardiac team meeting to introduce the work of Heart Valve Voice and explain to the team how they can get involved.

The team from Heart Valve Voice including CEO Wil Woan, Trustee Pat Khan, NHS Patient and Public Advisor Neil Betteridge and Patient ambassadors Christine and Katharine Greenlands, Brenda Walker and Sandra Woodcock travelled to Cambridge today to discuss an upcoming study to develop an new innovative stethoscope.
