European Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day Tweet Chat

Heart Valve Voice invites you to participate in the very first European Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day Tweet Chat to be held on 8 September at 16:30pm (GMT)

The tweet chat will welcome people from across Europe to encourage greater global awareness of the disease. With one out of eight people over the age of 75 suffering from heart valve disease, the burden of the untreated disease is only set to grow along with our ever-ageing population. On the surface, this would seem to threaten our ability to deliver our promise to EU citizens of active and healthy ageing. However, treating the disease promptly is usually curative, patients can return to a good quality and longer life and contribute back to their families, communities and economies.

A tweet chat involves Twitter users from all over participating in a Tweet discussion, allowing users to ask questions, share insight and contribute their experiences from the comfort of their own home or wherever they might be. Following the hashtag #heartvalveday, we will be sharing facts, figures and resources with the help of the Heart Valve Voice team, expert clinicians and patients ambassadors.

We will share full instructions nearer the time as well as a list of the topics that we will be discussing to allow you to plan out your tweets if you so wish.

On 8 September at 16:30 simply log onto Twitter and search #heartvalveday to join the conversation.
