Rick Steeds is a Consultant Cardiologist at Birmingham University Hospital Foundation. He specialises in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of heart valve disease.
Rick performed as a Past President of the British Society of Echocardiography, as well as being responsible for education of Echocardiography at a national level for more than 10 years. A Honorary Reader at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Birmingham, Rick has published more than 200 peer-reviewed research articles.
As the Clinical Lead for Cardiovascular Imaging at Queen Elizabeth's Hospital, Rick engages with heart valve disease patients everyday. He has in-depth knowledge of valve disease which he'll be bringing to the Trustee Board.
